Credits and Comps

What I do as a proof reader/editor for small press comics is not done for credit. I get a hell of a lot of satisfaction purely from seeing my notes and suggestions taken on board and put into the final form of your comic.

That said, this morning saw a comp copy of Hank AKA P.H.U.R by Tony Esmond and Darrell Thorpe, which I proofread recently, land on my doormat as, to quote Mr Esmond, "You're part of the team."

Then this afternoon, while on a call with a friend, Dave Cook (the genius behind Killtopia and BPM) sent me a picture of the BPM credits page that caused me to let out an unholy yell. You'll see why below (you might want to put on sunglasses though cos it's a bit bright).

These two things have genuinely made my day, and I'll be sauntering onwards with a spring in my step.

If you'd like to avail yourself of my proofreading or editing services then please do get in touch, you can find me on twitter @ComicScout or email me on
